Interviewing in white-collar investigations often demands both precision and empathy. P.E.A.C.E model of interviewing is considered one of the most suitable frameworks here. Cognitive Interviewing (CI) is an extension (can we really say that? I believe so) of P.E.A.C.E.
While the Cognitive Interview (CI) maximizes structured memory recall, the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI) brings a trauma-informed lens to fragmented experiences.
This thought paper explores whether a hybrid CI–FETI flow could enhance fact-finding in sensitive fraud inquiries.
It is an experimental idea, blending psychology and investigative practice.
The aim is to spark dialogue, feedback, and potential piloting in real-world settings.

Please take this attempt with a pinch of salt.
